In Memory: Margie M. Ploen

Funeral for Margie M. Ploen, 72, of Avoca will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the United Church of Christ in Minden with the Rev. Denny Peterson officiating.

Mrs. Ploen died October 29 at Myrtue Memorial Hospital in Harlan.

A homemaker, she graduated from Oakland High School in 1946 and briefly worked as a school teacher.

She married Harley Ploen on March 20, 1948.

Mrs. Ploen is survived by a daughter, Peggy Manhart and husband, Dan, of Neola; three sons, Jack and wife, Judy, of Walnut, Chuck and wife, Linda, of Harlan, and Vince and wife, Tamera, of Avoca; two brothers, Albert Danker arid wife, Paula, of Council Bluffs, and Stanley Danker and wife, Carole, of Minden; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation with the family was held at Knutson Funeral Home in Avoca. Burial will be in Minden Cemetery.
