October 1982Ruth Edna Herald, 83, 2804 Ave C, died Tuesday at her home following an extended illness.
She was a lifelong resident of Council Bluffs.Her husband, Stanley, died in 1954.
Surviving are five daughters, Joyce E. Herald, Jacqueline R. Clark and Lorraine M. Bockert, all of Council Bluffs, Roberta M. Clark of Rosemead, Calif., and Emma F. Steffen of Madison, S.D., a sister Edith Anson of Council Bluffs; brother, Benjamin Darnell of Council Bluffs; eight grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday at the Meyer Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. J. William Brewer, pastor of Grace United Presbyterian Chyhrch, will officate. Buriial will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Meyer's.
