In Memory: Mary L. Kenealy

Funeral Mass for Mary L. Kenealy, 67, of Council Bluffs will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church in Neola with the Rev. Dan Kirby officiating.

Mrs. Kenealy died of cancer March 18 at Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha.

She was born January 15, 1934, in Neola to Claude J. and Lillian R. (McGinty) Arrick. She graduated from Bebeetown High School in 1951 and lived in Neola and Crescent before moving to Council Bluffs in 1971. She was a resident manager for Knudson Management Co. for more than 25 years, and managed Bluffs Towers in Council Bluffs. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Neola.

Mrs. Kenealy and her husband, Richard, were married November 8, 1952.

Survivors in addition to her husband include two daughters, Jana Rowe and husband, Jim, of Council Bluffs and Annie Sims and husband, John, of Bellevue, Nebraska; five sons, Richard Jr. and wife, Cheryl, and Michael and wife, Patti, all of Council Bluffs, Dave and wife, Kris, of Columbia, S.C., Gary and wife, Sandy, of Claremore, Oklahoma, and Kent and wife, Zoe, of Blair, NE; two sisters, Gloria Schroeder of San Antonio and Carol Hiller and husband, Bill, of McClelland; a brother, Larry Arrick, and wife, Pat, of Council Bluffs; and 17 grandchildren.

A wake service w as to be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Belford-O'Neill Funeral Home, followed by visitation with the family until 8:30 p.m. Burial was to be in St. Patrick's Cemetery at Neola, followed by a lunch in the church hall.

Memorials may be offered to American Cancer Society.
