In Memory: Helen J. Klahn

Helen J. Klahn, 98, of Council Bluffs died July 30 at Indian Hills Nursing Center.

She was born February 28, 1903, near Treynor to Peter and Lisa (Hennings) Timm. She lived in Treynor before moving to Council Bluffs 10 years ago. She was valedictorian of the 1921 graduating class at Treynor High School. She was a homemaker and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid in Treynor.

Mrs. Klahn was preceded in death by her husband, August G. in 1971.

Survivors include two sons, Harlan and wife, Donna Mae, and Duane and wife, Virginia, all of Treynor; a half-sister, Mildred Koenig, of Council Bluffs; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Private family graveside services will be held Friday in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery at
Treynor with the Rev. Glenn Schacht officiating. Cutler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be offered to the church.
