In Memory: Cleo H. Hotze

Funeral for Cleo "Bud" Harold Hotze, 79, formerly of Carson, was held Friday at 10 a.m. at Davis Funeral Home in Tarkio, Missouri.

Mr. Hotze died July 24 at the Community Hospital in Fairfax, Missouri.

He was born April 29, 1922 in Carson to Ray and Hazel Olive (Smith) Hotze. He attended and graduated from the Carson Schools in Carson. Mr. Hotze farmed in the Carson and Macedonia areas and managed the Allis-Chalmers Implement dealership in Carson. He also was a sales representative for Solman Peet's Feeds and retired from Lawson Products in 1983. He was a member of the Shenandoah Elks Club and a former member of the Macedonia Methodist Church in Macedonia.

Mr. Hotze and his wife, Olive (Gregg), were married April 25, 1976.

Survivors in addition to his wife include four sons, Terry and wife, Helen, of Marion, Illinois, Dennis of Treynor, Wendell and wife, Janell, and Gary "Ernie," all of Carson; one step-daughter, Susan Mather, and husband, Kenneth, of Carthage, Missouri; one step-son, Mike Wolfe, and wife, Stephanie, of Council Bluffs; three sisters, Cells Young and Maralyn Gray, both of Clarinda, and Neuonia Timber of Oakland; one brother, Theo, of Carson; 13 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Burial was at the Carson Cemetery.

Memorials may be offered to the American Cancer Society or the Tarkio Assembly of God Church in Tarkio.
