In Memory: Dale W. Koenig

Funeral for Dale W. Koenig, 53, of Logan was held Monday at 1 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in Missouri Valley with the Rev. Dan Brammeier officiating.

Mr. Koenig died January 12 at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Omaha.

He was born in Missouri Valley and graduated from Tri-Center High School. He lived in Missouri Valley for most of his life and worked as a draftsman for Lozier Corporation. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and was a member of First Lutheran Church, Fraternal Organization of Elks No. 3876 in Missouri Valley.

Survivors include daughter, Tara Koenig of Omaha; three sons, Glenn of Fairbanks, Alaska, Travis of Bellevue, and Cody of Council Bluffs; mother, Doris Koenig, of Beebeetown; brother, Myron and wife, Mel, of Crescent; two sisters, Barbara Mabbitt and husband, Dale, of Council Bluffs, and Denise Dobberpuhl and husband, Rick, of Omaha; two granddaughters and other relatives.

Visitation with the family was held Sunday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home.

Burial was in Bethal Cemetery in Logan.
