Burdette Royalty Jr.

Burdette Royalty Jr., 48, of Council Bluffs died March 6 at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital.

He was born Nov. 1, 1954, in Council Bluffs to Burdette and Velma (Wallace) Royalty. He graduated in 1972 from Abraham Lincoln High School. He was owner of Royal Del Trailer Park in Council Bluffs for the past eight years. He was a member of Southside Christian Church, Excelsior Lodge No. 259 AF&AM, Scottish Rite, York Rite, Tangier Shrine, Council Bluffs Shrine Club and South Omaha Eagles Club No. 154.

Mr. Royalty and his wife, Denise (Madsen), were married 28 years.

Survivors in addition to his wife include daughter, Jamie Royalty; son, Eric Royalty, and wife, Cheryl; parents, Burdette and Velma Royalty; sister, Dorothy Avis, all of Council Bluffs; grandmother, Dorothy Snowden, of Burlington Junction, Mo.

Masonic service will be Monday at 6 p.m. with family visitation until 8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Hollers of Southside Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph with a lunch following at the Masonic Temple.
