Violet E. Nielsen

Violet E. "Esther" Nielsen, 92, of Council Bluffs died March 4 at Bethany Lutheran Nursing Home.

She was born Oct. 22, 1910, in Council Bluffs to Hans F. and Ann M. (Nielsen) Nielsen. She was a homemaker and a member of St. John Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her brother, Hans Nielsen, of Omaha; nieces, Jill Sue Condos and Nancy Kay Nielsen; and dear friend, Ola Sievers, of Council Bluffs.

The funeral will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home with the Rev. Jon Benson of St. John Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with lunch following at St. John Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall.

Memorials may be offered to St. John Lutheran Church.
