Wilbur Mahan

Wilbur Mahan, 90, of Council Bluffs died March 7 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

He was born in Honey Creek. He was employed as a cement finisher. He was a member of Latter-Day Saints of Jesus Christ.

Mr. Mahan and his wife, Marichen (Mertin), were married 42 years.

Survivors in addition to his wife include one son, Larry Mahan, and wife, Kathleen, of Council Bluffs; one daughter, Judy Dingman, of Council Bluffs; one stepson, Wilfried Junge, of Hamburg, Germany; one stepdaughter, Rosemarie Zimmerman, and husband, Henry, of Omaha; one brother, Alfred Bud Mahan, of Bagley, Minn.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at McCurdy Funeral Home. The funeral will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Priest Don Dilts officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
