Services for Glenn Herman Williams, 79, of Council Bluffs will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Eastside Christian Church with the Rev. Jon Schank and Rev. Dave Erickson officiating.

Mr. Williams died March 4 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

He was born in Lewis. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War. He was co-owner at Ace Body Shop for 25 years, retiring in 1998. He was a member of Oakland Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 5949.

Mr. Williams and his wife, Virginia, were married 51 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bryan and Christine Williams, and a brother, Vernon.

Survivors in addition to his wife include three daughters, Donna Rushing and husband, Gary, of Petersburg, Ill., Diana Turner and husband, Ed, of Columbia, Mo., and Danadale Jones and husband, Dan, of Salinas, Calif.; one son, Dustin Williams, and wife, Candi, of Council Bluffs; one sister, Evelyn Duskin, of Atlantic; five grandchildren, Andrea, Ashley, Alex Turner, Travis, Trasha Williams.

Visitation with the family will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at McCurdy Funeral Home. Burial will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Garner Cemetery in Bridgewater.

Memorials may be offered to Eastside Christian Church, 331 West Bennett, Council Bluffs.
