Neva Hafer

GLENWOOD - Neva Hafer, 104, of Silver City died March 4 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

She was born in Silver City and was a lifetime resident there. She was a homemaker until she went to work in the infant nursery at Glenwood State Hospital School from 1958 to 1970.

Mrs. Hafer was preceded in death by her husband, W.A. Art Hafer, in 1971. They were married 55 years.

Survivors include three daughters, Marie Schoening and husband, Byron, of Silver City, Grace Feyerabend and husband, William, of Ames, and Florence Houser and husband, Donald, of Glenwood; and one son, James Hafer, of Silver City.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Hertz Funeral Home, 112 North Vine, in Glenwood. The funeral will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Lynn Zimmerman officiating.

A memorial fund has been established.
