In Memory: Glenn W. Husz

The funeral for Glenn W. Husz, 93, of Treynor was held Friday at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Treynor with the Rev. Arlyn C. Norris officiating.

Mr. Husz died November 12 at Bethany Lutheran Home.

He was born July 30, 1909, in rural Treynor to Claus and Rosa (Klahn) Husz. He was a 1928 graduate of Treynor High School. He worked for Pottawattamie County Road Maintenance from 1933 to 1942. He farmed in the Treynor area for 20 years. He worked for Treynor Feed & Grain, was a groundskeeper at Treynor Recreation Area, and a van driver for Loess Hills Area 13, retiring in 1979. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Treynor.

Mr. Husz and his wife, Lillian Dora (Schmidt), were married 69 years.

Survivors in addition to his wife include three daughters, Carolyn Frain of Oakland, Norma Thomas and husband, Ronald, of Rio Rancho, N.M., and Joan Cox of Council Bluffs; one son, Keith H., and wife, Julie, of Council Bluffs; one sister, Gladys Roenfeldt, of Mineola; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family was held at Cutler-O'Neill-MeyerWoodring Funeral Home. Burial was in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Treynor, followed by a luncheon at the church.
