Etta Mae McClain

Etta Mae McClain, 86, of Council Bluffs died Feb. 28 at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital.

She was born on June 17, 1916, in Harvey, Ill., to Lamont and Ramona (Seward) Baer. She was a resident of Council Bluffs since 1930. She was employed as elevator operator for the Woodmen of the World for 35 years. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church.

She was married to Roy McClain, who died in 1992.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn Poskochil and husband, Edward, and Karen Jones and friend Barry, all of Council Bluffs; one son, Bill Lee and wife, Mary, of Omaha; longtime companion and friend, Ernie; one brother, Warren Baer and wife, Phyllis, of Council Bluffs; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

The body has been cremated and a service will be held at a later date.

Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
