In Memory: Carla R. Townsend

A memorial service for Carla R. Townsend, 40, of Council Bluffs will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church with the Rev. E.A. Hering officiating.

Mrs. Townsend died May 28 at NHS University Hospital in Omaha.

She was born in Minneapolis. She graduated from Streeter High School in Streeter, North Dakota, in 1977 and attended North Dakota State University. She was manager of the Swanson Corp.

Mrs. Townsand and her husband, Ron, were married nine years.

Survivors in addition to her husband include a daughter, Candice Williamson, and husband, Tim, of Missouri Valley; two stepsons, Mathew Townsend and Shawn Townsend, both of McClelland; her mother, Renee Mae Schulz, of Missouri Valley; three brothers, Troy Schulz and wife, Yoshiko, of Japan, Darian Schulz of Council Bluffs and Shane Schulz of Bellevue, Nebraska.

Burial will be private. McCurdy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
