In Memory: Rex R. Redinbaugh

Rex R. Redinbaugh, 68, of Neola, died June 4 at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs.

He was born in Neola and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He worked for Continental Can Co. (now Crown Cork & Seal) for 40 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Neola Presbyterian Church, Neola American Legion Post No. 330 and 40 & 8 in Council Bluffs.

Mr. Redinbaugh and his wife, Joyce, were married 44 years.

Survivors in addition to his wife include a daughter, Julie Carstens, and husband, Clay, of Spencer; three sons, Russell of Neola, David of Persia and Gary and wife, Jaime, of Portsmouth; two sisters, Mary Coppock and husband, Don, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Alice Broten of Houston; two brothers, Vern Jr. and Ivan and wife, Jean, all of Neola; and four granddaughters.

Visitation with the family was held Monday evening from 7 to 8 at Beem-Belford Funeral Home and Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Neola Presbyterian Church. Funeral was held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Dean Sparr officiating. Burial was in the Neola Township Cemetery with military rites conducted by Neola American Legion Post No. 330.

Memorials may be offered to the Neola Presbyterian Church or Neola American Legion.
