In Memory: Rozella McClelland

Funeral for Rozella M. McClelland, 79, of Council Bluffs was held at 2 p.m. at Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home.

Mrs. McClelland died June 27 at Indian Hills Nursing Home.

She was born in Council Bluffs. She worked as a shipping clerk for Pendleton Woolen Mills for 25 years.

She was a member of the Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers.

Mrs. McClelland was preceded in death by her husband, Alan D. "Penny," in 1992.

Survivors include a daughter, Karen Wells, and husband, Harvey, of Council Bluffs; two sons, Douglas and wife, Mary, of Council Bluffs and Paul and wife, Ann, of Treynor; two sisters, Katie Petersen and Maguerite Wiese, both of Fort Calhoun, Nebraska; two brothers, Paul LaChappell of El Cajon, California, and Charles LaChappell of Council Bluffs; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The Rev. David Erickson of First Christian Church was to officiate at the funeral.

Burial was to be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be offered to Visiting Nurses Association or First Christian Church.
