In Memory: Birdeen Garland

Memorial services for Birdeen Garland, 84, of Tucson, Arizona, were held July 3 at Spanish Trail Lutheran Church in Tucson.

She died June 26 at Desert fountain Villa in Tucson.

Mrs. Garland was born in Carton, Nebraska, and she and her husband had previously lived in the Treynor and Carson areas. She was a past member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Treynor.

Mrs. Garland was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace, in 1972.

Survivors include three daughters, Yvonne Lamoree of Tempe, Arizona, Jocelyn Byers and husband, Bob, of Henderson and Menda Miller and husband, Karl, Mesa, Arizona; one son, Dale and wife, Mary Lou, of Tucson; one sister, Pearl Tepoel, of Cottonwood, Arizona; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great great grandson.
