In Memory: Mabel Andersen

Funeral for Mabel E. Andersen, 84, of Council Bluffs was held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Cutler Funeral Home with the Rev. Lowell Knauss of Grace Presbyterian Church officiating.

Mrs. Andersen died June 19 at Risen Son Christian Village.

She was born October 16, 1915, in Treynor to Henry Stortenbecker and Friedchen Spait Stortenbecker.

She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1933. She was a housewife and was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Andersen was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur J., on March 21, 1997.

Survivors include two brothers, Louis Stortenbecker and wife, Adele, of Council Bluffs and Henry Stortenbecker and wife, Janice, of Nebraska City, Nebraska; nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be offered to Grace Presbyterian Church.
