In Memory: Ruby Gahm

Ruby M. Gahm, 88, a resident of Rose Vista Nursing Home, died April 21 at Community Memorial Hospital in Missouri Valley.

She was born April 2, 1912, in Pisgah to William and Lertie (Weldon) Butts and graduated from Pisgah High School.

In 1931, she married Lloyd E. Gahm in Onawa. They farmed in the Shelby and Pisgah areas. He preceded her in death in 1978.

Mrs. Gahm was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pisgah and the Help One Another Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Patsy Carson and husband, Bill, of Chadwick, Missouri, and Cherry Hall and husband, Wes, of Pisgah; one son, C. Joe Gahm and wife, Norma, of Council Bluffs; four sisters, Edith Andersen of Glenwood, Nina McHugh and husband, Dean, of Moorhead, Bessie Bumgarner and husband, Jim, of Ralston, Nebraska, and Joy Woodward and husband, Clarence, of Pisgah; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. '

Funeral was held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Pisgah with the Rev. Dee Ann Klapp officiating. Burial was in Little Sioux Cemetery in Little Sioux. Visitation with the family was held Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m.,
