In Memory: Darrell Tawzer

Funeral for Darrell W. Tawzer, 77, of Omaha was held Monday at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Omaha with the Rev. Arron Sciford officiating.

Mr. Tawzer died August 17 at his home.

He was born near Neola and moved to Omaha 12 years ago. He worked in sales for Radio Station KFAB from 1970 to 1979 and for KTOW from 1979 to 1988. He was a member of the Optimists, Council Bluffs Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 154 and the Omaha Honk & Quack Hunting Club.

Mr. Tawzer and his wife, Rosalie (Sewing), were married in 1943.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons, Rodney of Omaha and James and wife, Chris, of Fort Worth, Texas; four brothers, Leo of Omaha, Charles of Council Bluff's, Lloyd of Wiota and Donald of Lincoln, Nebraska.

Visitation with the family was held Sunday at Heafey-Heafey-Hoffmann-Dwork & Cutler West Center Chapel in Omaha. Burial was in Fisher Cemetery at Underwood.
