In Memory: Dorothy Stortenbecker

Dorothy E. Stortenbecker, 87, of Treynor died January 31 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

She was born in Treynor and attended school through the eighth grade. She was a laborer and supervisor for Howard Manufacturing Co. and farmed near Treynor most of her life. She was a member of the Evergreen Community Club, Zion Congregational Church and Dorcas Aid.

Survivors include a brother, Herman Stortenbecker, of Silver City; and nephews.

Visitation with the family was held Friday from 6:30 to 7:30 P.M. at Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home.

Funeral was held Saturday at A.M. at the funeral home with the Rev. Lynn Zimmerman of the Silver City Methodist Church officiating.

Burial was in the Zion Congregational Church Cemetery at Treynor.

Memorials may be offered to Zion Congregational Dorcas Aid, the Treynor Fire and Rescue or Silver City Fire and Rescue.
