In Memory: Maxine Heath

Funeral for Maxine L. Heath, 77, of Council Bluffs was held Friday at St. John Lutheran Church with the Rev. E.A. Hering officiating.

Mrs. Heath died February 1 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

She was born in Adair and graduated from Adair High School in 1940. She lived in Shelby from 1951 to 1971 and moved to Council Bluffs in 1976.

Mrs. Heath was a homemaker. She and her husband operated Shelby Produce and she worked for Farmers Savings Bank in Shelby. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Heath was preceded in death by her first husband, Melvin "Mac" Coffman, on July 21, 1964.

Survivors include her second husband, Donald L. Heath; two daughters, Lynda Wahling and husband, Gene, of Shelby and LauRae Kingsbury and husband, Don, of Omaha; two sons, Meredith "Moe" Coffman and wife, Marilyn, of Blackfoot, Idaho, and Mervin Coffman of Council Bluffs; a stepdaughter, Toni Conklin, and husband, Robert, of Omaha; a stepson, Rusty Heath, of Crescent; 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a niece.

Visitation with the family was held at Cutler Funeral Home.

Burial was in the Shelby Cemetery.

Memorials may be offered to St. John Lutheran Church.
