In Memory: John M. Jensen

Funeral for John M. Jensen, 96, of Missouri Valley was held Monday at 1 P.M. at Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley with Elders Dan and Becky Long officiating.

Mr. Jensen died January 25 at Community Memorial Hospital in Missouri Valley.

He was born October 13, 1903, in Council Bluff’s. He farmed and operated an Oliver Implement Business for several years. He was also a contractor, building homes, buildings and remodeling for many years. He was a member of the RLDS Church, served as an elder served as pastor for the RLDS Church in Persia and Missouri Valley.

Mr. Jensen, was preceded in death by his fist, wife, Alice (Johnson), in 1984.

Mr. Jensen and his second wife, Juanita (Koenig) were married in 1985.

Survivors in addition to his wife include a daughter, Marjorie Donnelson and husband, Jerry, of Council Bluffs; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the family was held Sunday evening at the funeral home. Burial was in Rose Hill Memorial Garden at Missouri Callay, followed by lunch and fellowship at the Rand Community Center in Missouri Valley.
