In Memory: Anna Leach
Anna K. Leach, 100, of Avoca died April 29 at Avoca Nursing and Rehab Center.
She was born in Denmark and came to the United States with her parents. She lived in Harlan before moving to Avoca in 1918.
She worked in her father's tailoring shop and was a homemaker. She was a member of the United Church of Avoca, the Crochet Club and the Avoca Garden Club.
Mrs. Leach was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Herbert E. Leach, Jr., in 1952.
Survivors include a sister, Rose Orth of Shelby, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the United Church of Avoca with the Rev. Will Bynagte officiating. Burial will be in Avoca's Graceland Cemetery.
Knutson Funeral Home in Avoca is in charge of arrangements.
