In Memory: Frederick Dreher

Funeral for Frederick "Fritz" Dreher, 97, of Kimballton was held Friday at 10:30 A.M. at St. Patrick's Church in Neola with the Rev. Dan Kirby, officiating.

Mr. Dreher died September 12 at Myrtue Memorial Hospital in Harlan.

He was born in Germany and lived in Neola from 1945 until 1974, when he moved to Kimballton. He was a farmer and cabinetmaker was a member of St. Michael's Church in Harlan.

Mr. Dreher was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Ann, on December 5, 1999.

Survivors include three daughters, Leonie "Lee" Sanford of Omaha, Frieda Calhoon and husband, Larry, of Neola and Frances Minear and husband, Joe, of Weston; three sons, Joseph F. of Audubon, Karl and wife, Terri, of El Paso, Texas, and Paul and wife, Gloria, of Council Bluffs; 27 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

A wake service was held at Hillside Mortuary in Neola, followed by visitation with the family.

A dinner was held in the church hall after the funeral. Burial was in St. Patrick's Cemetery at Neola.

Memorials may be offered to the church.
