In Memory: Georgia Goshorn

Georgia Goshorn, 88, of Mason City, formerly of Shelby, died October 14 at the Good Shepherd Home in Mason City.

Mrs. Goshorn was born in Shelby and graduated from Shelby High School in 1930. She worked as a homemaker. Georgia enjoyed sewing and crocheting.

She was a member of Shelby Methodist Church.

Georgia was preceded in death by two sons; Duane and Gerald, her parents, one brother, Charles Best, Jr., and two sisters; Gladys Oathout and Florence Eckel.

Survivors include Patsy Beck and her husband, William, of Lutz, Florida, Bobby and his wife, Jan, of Ocala, Florida, William and his wife, Cathy, of Atlanta and Linda Bleyhl and her husband, Don, of Omaha; a sister, Virginia Stephan of Spokane, Washington; and 12 grandchildren.

Visitation with the family was held Monday from 7 to 8 P.M. at Knutson Funeral Home in Avoca.

Services were held Tuesday at 2 P.M. at the funeral home with the Rev. Walter Bernad officiating. Burial was in the Shelby Cemetery in Shelby.
