Funeral held
Wednesday for
Mrs. Atkinson

Funeral services were held at
Vieth's(?) Funeral home in Oakland
Wednesday, March 29, for Mrs.
Ella M. Atkinson, 86, who died
Monday at Clarinda.

The Rev. W. K. Hasenyager was
in charge of services. Pallbearers
were Claire Robinson, O. E.
Lester, Lloyd Hummel, Elmer
Miller, Ivan Rollins and Curtis
Kelsay.

Music was by Mrs. C. C. Vieth,
with Mrs. L. O. Glass and Mrs. Ray
Nelson in charge of flowers. In-
terment was at Oaklawn cemetery.

Ella May Rust was born Jan. 8,
1869 in Oakland, the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Rust.
She was married Sept. 19, 1888
to Francis Marion Atkinson,
with the wedding taking place
at Council Bluffs.

Mr. and Mrs. Atkinson were the
parents of seven children, five of
whom preceded her in death. A
son, Clarence of Council Bluffs,
and a daughter, Bessie, of Oakland,
survive.

Two grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren also survive.

Mrs. Atkinson, who joined the
Church of Christ in Oakland in
1914, spent her entire life in the
Oakland vicinity.
