LOUIE M. ATKINSON

Mrs. Louie M. Atkinson, 82,
of 116 Dorothy Ave., died
Wednesday at an Omaha
hospital following an extended
illness.

She was born at Oakland, and
had resided since 1944 in
Council Bluffs. She and her late
husband, Clarence, farmed
many years in the Oakland
area. She was a member of
Valley View Baptist Church.

Survivors include a
daughter, Marjorie Busse of
Council Bluffs; son, Carl
Atkinson of Council Bluffs; two
sisters, Olive Phillips of
Council Bluffs and Mildred
Taylor of Topeka, Kan.;
brother, Ivan Phillips of
Osceola; 10 grandchildren and
eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10
a.m. Saturday at the Meyer
Funeral Home. The Rev.
Thomas Simmons, pastor of
Valley View Baptist Church,
will officiate. Interment will be
at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to
the Cancer Society or the
Valley View Baptist Church
organ fund. The casket will be
closed at the beginning of the
service.
