In Memory: Pauline Smith

Funeral for Pauline M. Smith, 87, of Council Bluffs was held Monday at 10:30 A.M. at Emnmnuel Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Rich Blodgett officiating.

Mrs. Smith died January 5 at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital.

She was born in Dunlap and had lived in Denison, Logan, Dunlap and Woodbine before moving to Council Bluffs in 1967.

She attended Dunlap schools. She was a housewife and was a member of Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene for more than 40 years.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph.

Survivors include four daughters, Betty Moore of Vancouver, Washington, Christine Jones and husband, Richard, of Harlan, Marlene Little of Persia and Shirley Saar and husband, Otto, of Council Bluffs; three sons, Lester and wife, Shirley, of Loveland, Stan and wife, Linda, of Neola and Neil of Council Bluffs; a sister, Mabel Smith, of Logan; a brother, Lloyd Hardy and wife, Madeline, of Tekemah, North Carolina; 25 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family was held Sunday at the church. Burial was in Cedar Lawn Cemetery.

Pauley Funeral Home in Harlan was in charge of arrangements.
