In Memory: Marietta Ellis

Funeral for Marietta A. Ellis, 87, a resident of Manor of Malvern, was held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Meyer Woodring Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald J. Miller of First Baptist Church officiating.

Mrs. Ellis died January 22 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

She was born in Minden and had lived in Council Bluffs. She worked as a registered nurse at Jennie Edmundson Hospital from 1947 to 1955 and at Clarkson Lutheran and Immanuel Lutheran Hospitals in Omaha, retiring in 1974. She was a member of the Alumni Association at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

Mrs. Ellis was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H., in 1962.

Survivors include a daughter, Pat Adkins, of Denton, Texas; two grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family was held at the funeral home.

Burial was in the Minden Cemetery.

Memorials may be offered to Jennie Edmundson Alumni Association.
