In Memory: Delmer Bell

Delmer J. Bell, 100, of Harlan died June 14 at Elm Crest Retirement Community in Harlan.

He was born near Underwood to J.W. Bell and Anna Quick Bell, and moved to Harlan in 1985. He attended school in Underwood and attended business college in Council Bluffs. He was a retired farmer in the Underwood area and had operated a roller skating rink in the Town Hall at McClelland. He was a member of the Underwood Lutheran Church and the Farm Bureau.

Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his wife, Freida R., on August 4, 1973.

Survivors include a brother, Roy, and wife, Irene, of Roseburg, Oregon; two grandsons, three great granddaughters, nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family was held Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Cutler Funeral Home. Funeral was held Saturday at 11 A.M. at the funeral home with the Rev. David Bernardt, pastor of Underwood Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial was in the Hardin Township Cemetery near McClelland.

Memorials may be offered to the McClelland Town Hall.
