In Memory: Cecil Hurley Windedahl

Cecil C. Hurley Windedahl, 88, of Council Bluffs died May 9 at Risen Son Christian Village.

She was born in Neola, graduated from Neola High School in 1930 and lived in McClelland before moving to Council Bluffs in 1976. She attended Boyles Business College. She was a homemaker and was a saleswoman for World Book Encyclopedia.

She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Mrs. Hurley Windedahl was preceded in death by her first husband, Delbert L. Hurley, in 1978.

Survivors include her husband, Lester Windedahl; two sons, Gary L. Hurley and wife, Beverly, and DeLynn F. and wife, Nancy, all of Council Bluffs; a sister, Arlene Marcussen, and husband, Kermit, of Harlan; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family was held Thursday at Cutler Funeral Home. Funeral was held Friday at the funeral home with Jim Andersen, elder, of the Underwood Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day. Saints, officiating. Burial was in Cedar Lawn Cemetery.

Memorials may be offered to the RLDS Central Congregation.
