In Memory: Nadine S. Hansen

Nadine S. Hansen, 73, of Omaha a former Council Bluffs resident, died August 12 at her home after a long illness.

She was born January 19, 1928 in Roscoe, Texas to Perry and Bea (Paxton) Sealy. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years

In 1974, she started her own interior-decorating business, Nadine's Drapery, which she operated until 2000.

She and her husband Byron, were married 41 years.

Survivors in addition to her husband include five daughters, Charlotte Long and husband Keith and Dianne Scoles and husband Craig, all of Council Bluffs, Linda Smith and husband Stan of Neola, Janet Scholer and husband Danny of Omaha and Shelly Ray and husband Jimmy of San Antonio; two sons, Morris and wife Daniece and Jeremy, all of Omaha; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family was Tuesday evening at Cutler Funeral Home. Funeral was to be Wednesday at 2 P.M. at the funeral home with the Rev. Maureen Williams officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be offered to the cancer center at Methodist Hospital in Omaha or Council Linda music teachers.
