In Memory: William Stortenbecker

Funeral for William H. Stortenbecker, 86, of Hancock was held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Cutler Funeral Home with the Rev. Linda Butler, Methodist pastor, officiating.

Mr. Stortenbecker died April 221 at his home.

He was born August 14, 1914, near Treynor to Fritz and Martha (Schnoor) Stortenbecker. He moved to Hancock in 1941. He lived in the Treynor and Hancock area all his life and was a retired farmer.

Mr. Stortenbecker was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma E. (Potter), on July 4, 2000.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda C. Harris of Hancock and Janet C. Dietz and husband, Billy L., of Nashua; two granddaughters, nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family was held Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

Burial was in Zion Cemetery at Treynor.

Memorials may be offered to the Minden Rescue Unit or the Visiting Nurse Association in Omaha.
