In Memory: Mary M. Justesen

Mary M. Justesen, 79, of Council Bluffs died May 1 at her home.

She was born in Bentley. She graduated from Harlan High School in 1938 and attended Grace Bible College. She served with the Coast Guard during World War II.

Mrs. Justesen and her husband, Marlen, were married 43 years.

Survivors in addition to her husband include two sons, Philip and wife, Debra, of Council Bluffs and Andrew and wife, Vickie, of Overland Park, Kansas; two stepdaughters, Donna Herndon and Diane Brown, both of Lincoln City, Oregon; a stepson, Terry Justesen, of Council Bluffs; a sister, Phyllis Beck, of Memphis, Tennessee; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren

There was no viewing or visitation. A private family service will be held later. McCurdy Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
