In Memory: Michael Paulson Jr.

Funeral for Michael Paulson Jr., 72, of Council Bluffs was held Saturday at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church in Omaha with Father Vojislaw Dosenovich officiating.

Mr. Paulson died October 2 at Oakland Manor in Oakland.

He was born June 29, 1929, in Council Bluffs to Milo Pocuca and Sima (Lalich) Paulson. He was a 1948 graduate of Thomas-Jefferson High School. He was a general contractor, owner of SIMA Construction Corp., retired in 1998 after 40 years service. He was a member of St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church in Omaha and Member of Arabian Horse Association.

Survivors include his wife, Betty (Geppert); five daughters, Jane E. Bridges of Omaha, Susan G. Rissman and husband, Jeff, of Des Moines, Teresa M. Hoffman of Omaha, Peggy A. Christensen and husband, Arnie, of Underwood and Rebecca J. Coleman of Council Bluffs; three sons, Michael D. and wife, Mary, of Phoenix, Daniel S. and wife, Janice, of Council Bluffs and Andrew L, of Gulf Breeze, Florida; one sister, Mary Alencich, and husband, Steve, of Minneapolis; two brothers, George and wife, Lubi, of Omaha and Nick and wife, Mary Ann, of Council Bluffs; 13 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family was held Friday evening with a wake service at Cutler Chapel. Burial was in Ridgewood Cemetery.

Memorials may be offered to Oakland Manor Nursing Home.
