In Memory: Mildred Gillispie

Mildred L. Gillispie, 74, of Omaha died May 5 at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha.

She was born October 26, 1926, to Earl and Anna (Homersham) Anderson of Omaha. She moved to Omaha from Council Bluffs in 1947.

She graduated from Pipestone High School in Minnesota in 1944. She worked in the camera department in Osco Drug for 20 years, then retired in 1989.

She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy, in 1965.

Survivors include four daughters, Judy King and husband, Lloyd, of Council Bluffs, Sharon Trede and husband, Steve, of Treynor; Sandy Linhort and husband, Jerome, of Papillion, Nebraska, Joyce of Omaha; 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family was held Monday evening at McCurdy Funeral Home. Funeral was held Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. E.A. Hering of Saint John Lutheran Church. Burial was in Ridgewood Cemetery.

Memorials may be offered to the American Heart Association.
