In Memory: Agnes L. Jones

Agnes L. Jones, 73, of Council Bluffs died Oct. 7 at Southwest Iowa Medical Center.

She was born in Clayton, Wisconsin. She lived in Council Bluffs for 50 years. She was a self-employed housekeeper and a member of Kingdom Hall Jehovas Witnesses.

Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Walter R., in 2000.

Survivors include four daughters, Carol Wittwer and husband, Harry, of Council Bluffs, Sharon McGee and husband, William, of Omaha, Marlene Christianson and husband, John, of Waterloo, Nebraska, and Christine Larson and husband, Alan, of Fredrick, Oklahoma; one son, Robert, and wife, Deborah, of Council Bluffs; three sisters, Mary Linden of Underwood, Sally Fryer of Gig Harbor, Washington, and Betty Schlegel of Cicero, Illinois; four brothers, Clarence Zahurones of Council Bluffs, Charles Zahurones of Baxter, Nick Zahurones of Cherry Tree, Pennsylvania and Joey Zahurones of Fairfax, Virginia; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

'Visitation with the family was held Tuesday evening at MeyerWoodring Funeral Home. Funeral was held Wednesday at 2 P.M. at the funeral home with Elder Donovan George of Kingdom Hall of Jehovas Witnesses officiating. Burial was in Cedar Lawn Cemetery.
