In Memory: Alma Bruck
(January 31, 1919 - May 7, 2001)

Alma Mary Bruck, 82, of Portsmouth died May 7 at her home.

She was born in Panama and graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1936. She attended Mount St. Scholastice College. She was a housewife and was a member of St. Mary's Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Portsmouth.

Mrs. Bruck and her husband, Nick, were married 61 years.

Survivors in addition to her husband include four daughters, Joyce Larsen and husband, Jim, of Newton, Joan Ingram and husband, Steve, of Gretna, Nebraska, Jolene Roecker and husband, Todd, of Atlantic arid Janet Guse and husband, Rick, of Omaha; five sons, Nick Jr. and wife, Linda, of Bettendorf, Ronald and wife, Judy, of Lincoln, Nebraska, Robert and wife, Linda, of Black Earth, Wisconsin, Richard and wife, Laurie, of Newton and Randy and wife, Julie, of Portsmouth; 26 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

A rosary service was held Wednesday at 7:30 P.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Portsmouth. Funeral will be Thursday at 10:30 A.M. at the church with the Rev. Paul Bianchi and the Rev. Donald Bruck officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Pauley Funeral Home in Harlan is in charge of arrangements
