In Memory: Donovan C. Grap

Donovan C. Grap, 74, of Portsmouth died January 17 at home.

He was born in Persia. He was a farmer and member of St. Mary’s Our Lady of Fatima in Portsmouth.

Survivors include four daughters, Cheryl Gardner and husband, the Rev. Jim, of Waterloo, Gayle Grap, LeeAnn Knecht and husband, Robert, and Peggy Birnley and husband, Al, all of Council Bluffs; five sons, Rodney Grap and wife, Jenny, of Glenwood, Alan Wingert and wife, Colleen, of Neola, Barry Wingert of Council Bluffs, Wayne Wingert and wife Debbie, of Denison and Paul Wingert and wife, Lori, of Harlan; 22 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

A wake service was held at St. Mary’s Our Lady of Fatima in Portsmouth with the Rev. Pat Davitt officiating. The funeral was held Saturday at 10:30 A.M. at the church with the Rev. Dan Kirby officiating. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Portsmouth. Pauley Funeral Home in Harlan was in charge of arrangements.
