B. Jeanne Strong

The funeral for B. Jeanne Strong, 76, of Council Bluffs will be Monday at 10 a.m. at First Christian Church with the Rev. Dale Erickson officiating.

Mrs. Strong died Jan. 30 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

She was born April 14, 1926, in Council Bluffs to C. Lloyd and Theresa C. (Petersen) Jones. She was a 1943 graduate of Mondamin High School. She was a realtor and tax preparer, and was self-employed since 1971. She was a member of First Christian Church. She was treasurer of Harmony Chapter No. 25, Order of Eastern Star. She was a member of Realtors Multiple Listing, Greater Council Bluffs Board of Realtors and National Tax Preparers Association.

Survivors include two daughters, Frances J. Coet and husband, John, of Westminster, Colo., and Fawnda L. Severn of Omaha; two sons, Frank C. and wife, Jeanette, of Des Moines and James L. and wife, Judy, of Wimauma, Fla.; two sisters, Donna Wilson and husband, Bill, of Council Bluffs and Mary Lou Kirk of Modesto, Calif.; one brother, Paul L. Jones, and wife, Nora, of Council Bluffs; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Eastern Star service by Harmony Chapter No. 25 will be Sunday at 7 p.m. followed by visitation until 8 p.m. at First Christian Church. Burial will be in Branson Cemetery in Loveland, followed by a luncheon at the church. Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be offered to First Christian Church or Harmony Chapter No. 25, O.E.S., or Risen Son Auxiliary.
