The Daily Nonpareil -Thursday, 31 October 1918:
William Sewing, aged 84 years, prominent resident of McClelland, died suddenly of heart trouble at his home Wednesday. He was a retired farmer and had lived in McClelland for ten years. He is survived by his wife, four sons and eight daughters. The sons are William, Pottawattamie Co.; Charles, York township; Daniel, Omaha, and Thomas, York Township. The daughters are Mrs. Lewis Moffitt, South Dakota; Mrs. James Judkins, Arland, Neb.; Mrs. Dora McMilland (sic) (McMullen), Council Bluffs; Mrs. Roy Slater, Omaha; Mrs. John McCune (sic) (McKeown), Hardin Township; Mrs. Fred Guddle (sic) (Grudle), Mills Co; Mrs. Fried, Omaha, and Mrs. Vernon Atwood, Bruce, WI. The body was brought to Cutler's parlors, pending funeral arrangements.
