Evelyn M. Buzzell

HARLAN - Evelyn M. Buzzell, 89, of Harlan died Jan. 30 at Elm Crest Retirement Community in Harlan. She was formerly of Avoca.

Mrs. Buzzell was born in rural Shelby and was a homemaker and former treasurer of the East Pottawattamie Farm Bureau.

She won a special award for soil conservation practices.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Frank Buzzell, who died in 1971.

She is survived by her brother, Fred Petersen of Fort Collins, Colo.

Funeral service will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Knutson Funeral Home in Avoca with the Rev. Lou Hoger officiating. Burial will follow at the Minden Cemetery.
