Arthur J. Alt

Arthur J. Alt, 57, of Council Bluffs died Feb. 1 at NHS Clarkson Hospital in Omaha. He was a lifelong Council Bluffs resident.

Mr. Alt was born in Council Bluffs on April 24, 1946, to Arthur A. and Mary C. (Kain) Alt, and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1965.

He was a member of the U.S. Air Force, worked in the security department of Aksarben for 13 years and was a plumber prior to that for Hough Plumbing Co.

Mr. Alt was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robert.

He is survived by two sons, Arthur and wife, Jodi, and Christopher, both of Omaha; his former wife, Jacqueline Alt, of Omaha; a nephew, Michael Alt of Iowa.

Open visitation will be Monday and Tuesday at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be graveside Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Eberhard Hering officiating.

Military rites will be performed by American Legion Post No. 2.

Memorials may be offered the Kidney Foundation.
