Deborah Sue Wright

Deborah Sue Wright, age 58, of Council Bluffs, passed away December 9, 2008, surrounded by family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer.

Deborah was born December 13, 1949, in Council Bluffs to Duane R. and Ruth (Fox) Welbourn. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1968.

Deborah was a business office representative at Jennie Edmundson Hospital for the past 28 years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Duane R. Welbourn; and sister, Tammy L. Meyerring.

Deborah is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Pamela Wright; grandchildren, Erin and Lance Wright; mother, Ruth Welbourn, all of Council Bluffs; sister, Jackie Copper-Stone and husband Gary of Gayville, South Dakota; nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family, Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home.

Funeral service, Friday, 11:00 a.m. at Broadway United Methodist Church with Rev. Marvin Arnpriester, Pastor officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow the service.

Interment, Friday, 9:30 a.m. at the Neola Township Cemetery.

Memorials to Jennie Edmundson Foundation or St. Albert Schools.
