William F. Eggers, Sr
(1861 - August 11, 1942)

AVOCA—
Funeral services for William F. Eggers, Sr., 81, a retired farmer, who died here Tuesday, will be held Thursday at 2 pm at the First Lutheran church. Interment will be at Shelby. The Chrisinger funeral home is in charge.

Native of Mecklenburg, Germany, Mr. Eggers grew to manhood there and then came to the United States where he married Augusta Stender in 1893. He engaged in farming in the vicinity of Shelby until about 20 years ago when he retired and moved to Avoca.

Surviving him are his widow; two daughters: Mrs. Lena Pruess of Shelby and Mrs. Mary Thomsen of Logan; five sons: Paul, Carl, and William Avoca, Fred of Logan and Herman of Council Bluffs.

The Rev. Joseph Gerlt will conduct the funeral services.
