John Whittaker Ring
(March 6, 1874 - 1945)

John W. Ring, 71, died Tuesday at Iowa City. A farmer, he had been a resident of Neola for the last 46 years and was a member of the Third Degree of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his widow, Elizabeth; two daughters, Anna Kildare of Neola and Blanche McArdel of Council Bluffs; two sons, Harold B. Ring of Omaha and Glen W. Ring of Oakland; five brothers, A.H. Ring of Underwood, Jake, Joseph , and George Ring all of Neola, and Frank Ring of Carson; four sisters: Mrs. Will Lyman and Mrs. John A. Ring of Neola, Mrs. Will Gross of Avoca and Mrs. Ben Taylor of Carson; and three grandchildren.

The body will be taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Kildare in Neola where it will lie in state until the hour of the funeral services.

The Beem-Belford funeral home is in charge.
