Anna Belle Nelson 1928-

Valley Township Girl Dies at Parents Home Thursday, Dec 7

Anna Belle, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Nelson died in her sleep at the farm home of her parents five miles southeast of Avoca Thursday, December 7th. Though she had not been in the best of health for the past few years, her sudden death was a great shock to her family and friends.

She was born February 21, 1928 in Valley township. She received her education in the local public school and the Avoca High school, although her health did not permit her to finish the high school course.

She was a member of the Junior Auxiliary of the American Legion and also took an active part in the 4H club work of her home township.

She leaves to mourn her early death besides her parents, two sisters, Mrs. Orval Nielsen of Avoca; Evelyn of Washington, D. C.; four brothers: Clifford of Hancock; Edwin, Donald and LaVerne at home.

Funeral services were held at the First Lutheran church, Sunday, December 10 at 2 pm with the Rev Joseph Gerlt officiating. Burial was in the Hancock cemetery.
