William Jager 1882-1944

William Jager, Avoca day laborer, was found dead in his one room house near the Rock Island tracks just south of the Doyle Milling Co., by William Langbehn early last Saturday morning.

He was born in Klein Topplin, Pommann, Germany, on April 4, 1882. He came to this community in early childhood and worked as a day laborer. He reached the age of 62 years, 8 months, and 5 days.

Funeral services were held from the Blust Bros. Funeral home, Monday afternoon at 3:30 pm with the Rev. Joseph Gerlt in charge of the services.
