Leta Catherine Ward 1891-1944

Leta Catherine Ward, youngest daughter of Lysander and Lucy Ward, was born November 27, 1891 at the farm home two miles east of Avoca. An invalid all her life, she was cared for at home by her parents and sister, Nancy, who preceded her in death by three weeks and four days.

Miss Ward passed away at the Clarinda hospital where she had been a patient for the past three weeks, on March 18, 1944, at the age of fifty-two years, three months, and twenty-one days. She was preceded in death by her parents and five sisters and is survived by one sister, Amy B. Altig and brother, Walter.
